Description
This collection of ideas for librarians should serve as a handy guide to the innovative and as a reference and research tool on major trends in library and information services over the past 10 years. The collection takes the best abstracts used in ALA Poster Sessions since their origin in 1982 and organises them for ready reference by topic and/or by key words. There are ideas for all types of libraries and professional specialities by some of the most prominent names in the field. The ideas, programs, and methods represent tested approaches in areas ranging from technical services to administrative challenges to children's services. Other features of this idea handbook include a poster session application form with instructions, indexes of sessions by title, a list of poster session reviewers with current affiliations, and a directory of presenters with affiliations to allow interested readers a chance to learn more about a particular idea.
