Description
This book examines and discusses the nature of, and properties associated with, chemical bonding in solids and fluids. The text is a distillation of the courses which the author taught over a number of years. It is a rewritten and expanded (to cover fluids) version of "Structure and Bonding in Solid State Chemistry". Features include: discussion of bonding, structure and associated properties encompassing solids, liquids and gases; substantial illustrations including stereoviews of three-dimensional structures; mathematical treatments within the ability of chemistry students; computer-aided techniques to reinforce the textual material; and problems and solutions.
