Description
The importance of machine translation is rapidly growing as the demand for more and better disseminated information continues to increase. The automated translation of natural languages is fast becoming a viable option for making translation less expensive. This work presents a view of current activities in the field. It addresses a broad spectrum of issues, from technical aspects of MT systems and their modules, through methodological issues in MT architectures to the experiences of MT users and attitudes of human translators, to the views on the future of the field.
