内容説明
This book provides an overview of the privatization issues within Central and Eastern Europe. It seeks to tackle both the theoretical questions and to reflect upon the experiences in key privatization experiments. In the country papers the contributors have sought to explain the economic, political and social nature of the privatization process. This approach is supported by a theoretical section, which tries to consider the privatization process in the transitional economies thematically. Issues which recur in the country experiences, and which are treated in the first part of the book, include speed of privatization, finance and corporate governance, political questions and income and wealth distribution. Real-life experiences within the region support the text. The book is written by a specially commissioned team of international experts from UK, Europe and North America. It is aimed at advanced undergraduates and postgraduate students studying privatization, transitional economics and economic reform. It should also be of interest to students of politics and European studies.
