Description and Table of Contents

Description

Microprocessor Applications provides an introduction to the concepts of computing and programming which may be applied to modern analytical chemistry. The material commences with the concept of binary numbers and works through the functions of the principal components of microcomputer systems, including microprocessors. Subsequent sections examine programming and cover aspects such as machine code, high-level languages and assembler programs. An appreciation of the scope and limitations of each method of programming is provided.
