内容説明
This book contains essential information on 100 major subjects pertinent to modern clinical practice in anaesthesia. Wherever possible the information is presented in a uniform, systematic format. This format is unique in an anaesthetic text and encourages the reader to adopt a problem-based approach to clinical scenarios. As such, the book is suitable as a revision aid for the trainee anaesthetist prior to a postgraduate examination. Th book also serves as a standard reference source and busy qualified anaesthetists should find it useful for refreshing their memory of specific topics between cases. Every operating theatre should also have a copy for reference. The information on each topic has been compiled from a variety of sources including journal articles, reviews, course notes, lectures and original research. Each topic includes (wherever the subject allows): introduction; essential problems; anaesthetic management - assessment and premedication, conduct of anaesthesis, and postoperative care; further reading; and related topics of interest.
It is intended for trainee anaesthetists studying for a postgraduate examination (eg the FCAnaes in the UK, the FFARCSI in Ireland, the European Academy of anaesthesia examination, and Board Certification in the USA). It should also prove of interest to qualified anaesthetics, anaesthetic assistants, nurse anaesthetists (not UK) and surgeons.
