Description

The Education Reform Act of 1988 (ERA) established the National Curriculum and included other provisions related to the school curriculum. This review discusses the first year of the implementation of the curricular requirements of the Act. It draws together and comments on findings published separately in a series of reports by Her Majesty's Inspectorate on the implementation of the Act's curricular requirements in the school year 1989-90.
