内容説明・目次
内容説明
This work attempts to cover most advances made in the classical genetics and, in particular, recent molecular genetics of the ascomycetous filamentous fungi Aspergillus. Although emphasis is placed on Aspergillus nidulans, the book encompasses other aspergilli, especially species of industrial interest. Aspergillus nidulans classical genetic research started during World War II by Pontecorvo and has been a firm favourite with researchers from very different fields as a vehicle, due to its genetic manipulative ability. Its popularity has increased even more due to recent molecular technology. The scope of the book is fairly wide, embracing a wide variety of topics, for example, from general metabolism and its regulation through sexual and asexual differentiation to biotechnology. Most of the major Aspergillus research players have contributed articles. This text is recommended to researchers working in any field of mycology since the Aspergillus research is usually at the leading edge of mycological work.
