This book contains state of the art reviews on the latest knowledge and approaches on the aetiopathogenesis, clinical assessment of disease activity, medical therapy, surgical therapy and postoperative recurrence of inflammatory bowel diseases.
The chapters are derived from presentations at the Fourth Jerusalem International Symposium in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, in conjunction with Falk Symposium No. 72, which was held in Strasbourg, France, in September 1993, and attended by one thousand physicians from fifty-one countries.
