内容説明
This text is the first of two volumes devoted to the photon. Volume 1 presents a systematic development of the fundamental magnetizing field of electromagnetic radiation, B(3);B(3). The book has 12 chapters which collectively describe the properties of this field in a vacuum and in the interaction of light with matter. Volume 2 deals with the development of non-Abelian, or O(3), electrodynamics in which B(3);B(3) is incorporated systematically. These books should be of interest to researchers and graduate students studying the theory of electromagnetic radiation.
目次
- Wave and Particle
- Fundamental Symmetries
- The Origins of Wave Mechanics
- Interrelation of Field Equations
- Transverse and Longitudinal Photons and Fields
- Creation and Annihilation of Photons
- Experimental Evidence for B(3)
- B(3)
- The Concept of Photon Mass
- Aharonov-Bohm Effects
- Modifications of Lagrangian Field Theory
- Pseudo Four-Vector Representations of Electric and Magnetic Fields

内容説明
This book is the first of two volumes devoted to the photon. Volume 1 presents the first systematic development of the fundamental magnetizing field of electromagnetic radiation: the field Ii3. The book has 12 chapters which collectively describe the properties of Ii3 in a vacuum and in the interaction of light with matter. Volume 2 deals with the development of non-Abelian, or O(3), electrodynamics in which Ii3 is incorporated systematically. It is intended for researchers and graduate students interested in the theory of electromagnetic radiation.
