内容説明
This work is developed from a symposium sponsored by the Division of Polymer Chemistry Inc, at the 204th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, Washington DC, August 23-28th, 1992. The book presents advances in polymeric materials designed for controlled drug release; discusses bioelastic characteristics, micelle formation, hydrogels and drug release based on the electric properties of polymers. It also examines polymer-based systems for treatment of inflammatory processes, diabetes, prevention of gastric ulcers, management of central nervous system conditions and in oncology, and describes computer simulations of interactions between polymer matrices and solvents. This book should be of interest to academic and industrial polymer and pharmaceutical chemists, scientists working with drug delivery systems in human and veterinary applications, biochemists, medicinal and clinical chemists.
