Description and Table of Contents
Description
This collection attempts to analyze the present problems that face Israel and chart the possible future. The book places these issues in the context of the New World Order, the establishment of which includes Israel's improving relations with India, China and Africa, and the continuing Middle East peace talks. It sees these factors as having potentially far-reaching effects on Israel's sense of national security, especially at a time when Israeli society is riven with conflict and struggling to overcome a crisis of identity. The contributors include DavidVital, Gregory Mahler, David Capitanchik, Gad Barzilai, Elie Rekhess, Efraim Karsh, Naomi Weinberger, Robert Freedman and Rosemary Hollis.
