内容説明

In an effort to assist the Orkney inquiry into child abuse, the Directors of Social Work in Scotland have sought to compile an overview of social work practice in the field of child abuse and child protection services across Scotland. This overview of child abuse issues and practice which face social workers and the local authority departments which employ them has benn completed with the assistance of staff who have key roles as managers, social workers and trainers in the field of child protection services. Directors of Social Work and their senior colleagues are concerned that events which have taken place in Orkney should be considered within a general framework of seeking to understand the issues and practice common to Scottish authorities.
