Description and Table of Contents
Description
The comprehensive therapy of tumours affecting the nervous system is updated in this volume. The contributors provide sound conclusions and guidance based on extensive personal experience. The information can be directly applied to management strategies in neuro-oncology. The text reviews the therapeutic modalities according to the location of the neoplastic lesion. Separate chapters are devoted to the management of primary brain tumours, of cerebral, spinal epidural and leptomeningeal metastases and of cranial and peripheral nerve lesions. One special chapter is devoted to the benefits and unwanted effects of drugs used in the supportive care of neurological disorders in cancer patients. While diagnosis and diagnostic procedures are not the primary subjects of this book, they are also discussed.
