Description
"Tolley's Health and Safety at Work Handbook" is published in association with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. It provides guidance on how to comply with the law and aims to explain the many requirements and procedures laid down by Acts of Parliament, regulations, directives and codes of practice. This sixth edition is revised to include: the new "six pack" regulations - manual handling, workplace health, safety and welfare, display screen equipment work, work equipment and personal protective equipment at work; approved codes of practice or guidance material together with compliance dates; the new Chemical Hazards in Packages regulations 1992 as well as the dates of their compliance; the European plans for Health and Safety are mentioned for future planning; an outline of Personal Protective Equipment (EC Directive) Regulations 1992; and the Supply of Machinery (Safety Regulations 1992).
