Description and Table of Contents
Description
This is a companion to "Pediatric Otolarynology", 2nd edition. Each chapter is organized into: indications; pre-operative workup; anaesthetic considerations; surgical technique; and post-operative care of the most common otolarynology surgical procedures performed on infants and children. The surgical procedures described are presented in easy-to-follow figures, enabling the reader to understand the details of the surgical techniques described. Some procedures described are relatively new and differ in approach and and technique for application in the various age groups, such as: functional endoscopic sinus surgery, reconstructive surgery of the larynx and trachea, and cochlear implantation.
