The fifteen essays in this volume cover a number of common themes in the religious and social history of Northern Europe since the Reformation. They include work from Britain, Holland, France and Germany exemplifying the growing collaboration between scholars in different parts of Europe and a desire to achieve an international dimension in historical studies. Topics range from the broad - 18th Century Sermons and the Age to the specific -Archbishop Laud and the Walloons in Canterbury.
