内容説明
The quality of urban storm water discharges and their impact on receiving waters are crucial factors in attempts to minimise water pollution. This book covers both long-term and immediate reactions with papers on bacteriology, oxygen, metals, hydrocarbons and biological processes. The papers are divided into two main categories: the study of discharges and their models; and the effects of discharges on receiving waters. Models are being increasingly used to estimate loads. This increased use of modelling in a management framework integrates all influences on receiving water quality. The conference concluded that although difficulties remain with the prediction and characterisation of pollution loads from combined sewer and storm water discharges, progress is being made.
