Anticoagulants provides authoritative reviews of proteins C and S, antithrombin III, and the recently described tissue factor pathway inhibitor. There are extensive discussions of pathologic anticoagulants, such as those found in patients with congenital clotting factor deficiencies or those that arise de novo in previously well individuals. Detailed clinical advice is presented for the management of patients with these inhibitors.
