Description
This book - prepared for the ILO by the International Radiation Protection Organisation - includes a brief description of the characteristics of the various types of non-ionising radiation and of how they interact with biological tissues, and looks into potential health hazards from occupational exposure. Sources of exposure at the workplace, summaries of pertinent surveys conducted into these sources and the type of survey instrumentation required are also discussed.
