A short, didactic and highly illustrated account of foetal pathology which should be of interest to all surgical pathology departments. Foetal specimens are very difficult to assess; more and more pathologists are being asked to examine aborted foetuses as "quality control" for diagnostic procedures as well as for genetic counselling. These examinations depend upon the accurate identification of the abnormalities present; this book describes and illustrates the range of pathological abnormality encountered, whether in spontaneous abortion or following termination for recognized foetal anomaly.
