Description

This volume examines economic policies and problems in the Commonwealth Caribbean against the background of developments taking place in the region and in the wider world. The book's contributors take a realistic look at the options facing the region as it assesses the direction of it should take in reformulating its external economic relations in order to conform with the new imperatives that have emerged. In so doing, both the South and the North are put in a perspective which reflects both past experience and the challenges now facing small states as the world moves increasingly nearer to becoming a global village. Other works by Ramesh Ramsaran include "The Commonwealth Caribbean in the World Economy" and "US Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean".
