Description
Mario Campi and Franco Pessina, architects from Tessin, Switzerland, attained international fame through their villas constructed in Tessin in the spirit of rationalist architecture. They also first achieved renown through their conversion of Castello Montebello into a museum with a form language which reveals their highly sensitive and original treatment of historical architectural works. This study presents a comprehensive compilation of the complete works created by Campi and Pessino over a period of more than 30 years. It focuses on their handling of historical works of architecture, residential dwellings (from the villa to publicly-assisted housing), as well as public buildings and urban design projects.
