内容説明
Challenges are building up in the field of retirement provision in the European Community. These involve the financing of pensions for an ever-increasing number of old people, coping with the effects of the liberalization of capital markets and financial services, and preparing for economic and monetary union and, perhaps, a single currency within the EC. This book sets out to examine these issues in contributions by leading experts and officials in the various fields. It deals in depth with the need and scope for reform of the pension systems in several EC states, with the interaction of taxation and pension systems, the role and problems of public regulation and the prevention of the abuse of pension-fund assets. It also provides an examination of the impact of EMU and a single currency on pension contracts and asset-management.
