Description
Since the first edition of this book was published in 1987 under the title "New Museums - A Start-up Guide", there has been a remarkable growth of interest in developing new museums throughout the UK. "Managing New Museums" has therefore been written to include references to these important new developments. Arranged in four sections - First Steps; Managing the Collections; The Museum and its Users; and Managing the Museum - the book examines the many different responsibilities which go with managing new and successful museums.
