Description and Table of Contents

Description

Small-scale ICs are used when students learn the fundamentals of electronics. Most of the circuits in this text can be wired for classroom demonstration using off-the-shelf TTI or CMOS ICs. Simple analysis techniques are used throughout the text which builds the student's ability to troubleshoot. The performance objectives for this edition came about from surveys, classroom testing, and feedback from students, teachers, and industry representatives. The fourth edition includes discussions of the newer IEEE logic symbols used in an increasing number of manufacturers' data manuals, and expanded coverage of newer memory technologies. Performance objectives have been created for every chapter in the text, and critical thinking questions have also been included. A Student Activity Manual to accompany this text is also available (0-02-801854-0).
