This is the third volume in Sidgwick & Jackson's sports masterpiece series, in which famous sportsmen choose and introduce their favourite writings on their sport. William Blackledge Beaumont is one of Britain's best-loved rugby heroes. As a player, he twice led Lancashire to the County Championship and captained England to their first Grand Slam in 23 years. He also led the 1980 British Lions in South Africa. He is now a television commentator on rugby and a team captain on BBC Television's "Question of Sport" programme.
