Description and Table of Contents
Description
Steps have been taken during the last few years to enhance the level of involvement of the universities and higher education institutions in teaching/research on international education. This book traces these steps and examines attempts to include peace studies, future studies and international transcultural understanding in higher education curricula in various parts of the world. This book effectively argues the case for a global perspective in higher education, and offers advice and recommendations based on the practical initiatives already taken, as well as setting out guidelines for any future initiatives. The material is of relevance to those researching higher education policy, and those involved in the management of universities and institutes if higher education.
