Description

First published in 1981, this edition has been extensively updated and expanded. It features many new projects and includes over 140 new projects, 60 of which are complete, including: Clare College, Cambridge (new housing, 1968); the Ark, Hammersmith (offices, 1990); Byker Housing, Newcastle (1968-82) and new projects in Italy and the Netherlands. Much of Erskine's work has taken place in Scandinavia where his office in Drottningholm, Stockholm, is famous for unconventional methods of work. He is known for his ecological projects, which range from Scandinavia to Arctic Canada.
