In the libretto of his Mozartian opera, Paul Griffiths interweaves the texts of a number of Mozartian fragments (by Metastasio, Goldoni, do Ponte and others) to create a "pasticcio" which casts a light on opera and on Mozart. The author also wrote "Myself and Marco Polo", "The Lay of Sir Tristram".
