Description and Table of Contents
Description
This book draws on the diary kept by Elwin, the Indian anthropologist, during his stay in the Maikal hill-village of Karanjia between 1932 and 1936. The author documents Gond life and depicts the efforts of an Ashram's diverse inmates to improve the quality of education, diet, health, agriculture, and dress in the village.
