Description
Intended for registrars and others, especially solicitors in private practice, this book indicates exactly what is required to be registered as a local land charge and the appropriate part of the register for each charge, as well as giving the effect of charges once registered. The maintenance of other statutory local registers and preliminary enquiries of local authorities are also fully considered. This edition takes into account the relevant changes rendered necessary by recent developments in the law. The most important of these includes the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Planning and Compensation Act 1991 and the Water Industry Act 1991. Other statutes noted in this book include the Food Safety Act 1990, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Land Drainage Act 1991.
