Description
This guide aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the butterflies of Southern Africa. The distinguishing features of 232 butterflies are represented with details of their local distribution, their habits and habitats, and lists the food plants they frequent. Each species' account is supported by a distribution map. Further discussed are the biology and breeding of butterflies, as well as tips on photography and for the budding collector, advice on how to build up a worthwhile collection.
