内容説明
Prevention is said to be better than cure, but is it more cost efficient? The aim of this book is to give those with a professional interest in health and prevention a comprehensive overview of the economics of the situation. It attempts to answer two questions - how can economics and economists help in deciding upon priorities in the pursuit of health and the delivery of health-related activities? and what is the current state-of-the-art in economic approaches to prevention that could inform the policy debate? David Cohen and John Henderson planned and wrote this book while they were Research Fellows at the Health Economics Research Unit (HERU) of the Department of Community Medicine, University of Aberdeen.
