内容説明
This work presents a compilation of some advanced topics on the application of boundary element methods (BEM) in fluid mechanics. This is traditionally one of the most challenging areas of computational mechanics and the simulation of fluid motion is a serious test for any numerical method. Recent developments in the BEM have been very successful in dealing with complex fluid problems and the topics covered in this volume include: polymer processing; boundary integral methods for creeping flow with interfacial rheology; non-linear compressible full-potential flow, including transonic flow; the completed double layer integral equation method for Stokes' flow; viscous sintering; latest advances in the BEM solution of non-linear ocean waves; non-Newtonian flow; DRM formulation for 3D non-permanent non-linear viscous flow; and integral formulations of a diffusion-convective transport equation.
