This collection of papers from the Third National Conference on Law, Computers and Artificial Intelligence covers computer developments in electronic data interchange (EDI) and the resulting impact on law and legal concepts. Its topics include: electronic transfer of funds (EFT), cross-border data flow and private international law issues, European Community developments in software protection and admissibility of computer-generated evidence in a court of law. This study also investigates the restrictions of the existing legal framework on further EDI development, computer misuse and liability issues, and security and methods of detection and prevention.
