It has long been recognized that a substantial proportion of the problems that bring patients to general practice are asociated with stress, relationships and psychological or psychosomatic responses to difficulties in their lives. This book should help all those in the primary care team to examine their role as counsellors to their patients or as the gateway to other counselling services.
