Description and Table of Contents
Description
This monograph surveys the evolution of French industrial policy and examines the current position of French regional aid to industry - regional development grants, development poles, enterprise zones, local authority initiatives, European Union policies. The impact of these policies is evaluated in the context of both, the 1980's emphasis of infrastructure and training associated with industrial restructuring and the 1990's recession and revival of concern for relocating public sector employment away from Paris.
