"Functioning in Business" is for pre-intermediate students who are preparing to use English in a business context. The emphasis is on listening and speaking and the focus is on key functional language - eg - offering, requesting, accepting and disagreeing. It aims to provide an overview of typical business situations such as meetings, discussions, negotiations, social situations, survival skills such as checking into a hotel or using the telephone. This new edition is intended to provide a more thorough and systematic presentation of new language, and more preparation for the role play in each unit. The book can be used in class or for self-study. The complete course consists of a students' book, teacher's book, audio cassette, NTSC video and a PAL video.
