Vocational training systems in Germany, Spain, France and the UK range from the highly regulated to those with minimal regulation. This first volume of two contributes to the mutual knowledge of the diverse training given in different countries of the Union. The first volume concentrated on Germany, Spain, France and the UK. This volume, on Italy, Ireland and portugal, uses the same methodology in order to facilitate comparison. It is intended to be a practical tool for the mobility of teachers within the European Union, to give them a better understanding of the modes of training, encouraging joint projects or exchanges between professionals of different countries.
