Description and Table of Contents
Description
Developed for students in agricultural colleges who are taking a subsidiary course in the economics of agriculture, this textbook introduces readers to the economic principles applied to agriculture, farm management and marketing methods in common use in the tropics. It focuses on the problems and conditions of tropical countries, their institutions and employment conditions. This second edition has been revised and enlarged to include new material on government price policies, marketing, management and operations, and changes in development policies which have taken place since the 1970s. The text has also been aimed at agricultural administration and extension staff, people concerned with the work of private and co-operative marketing enterprises, input distribution agencies and marketing boards and progressive farmers. An ELBS/LPBB edition is available.
