内容説明

This book provides a detailed account of the new techniques used in the rapidly expanding discipline of quantitative pathology. Quantitative pathology is essentially a means of measuring histological samples in the diagnosis and prognosis of disease. The techniques described include: morphometry, photometry, flow cytometry, three-dimensional reconstruction and expert systems. These techniques measure cell count which is an important indicator of malignant tumours and other forms of cancer.
