Description

The developing countries produce over 350.5 million tonnes of root and tuber crops. This publication focuses attention on the significant role of these crops in the economy of the developing countries. It analyzes the production, harvesting, storage and utilization of cassava, yams, sweet potatoes and edible aroids. The future prospects for these crops and their role in national and international food security are also highlighted.
