内容説明
Aiming to provide a lucid, objective examination of hormones, both natural and artificial, this book describes what they are, how they work, their uses, their positive aspects, the side-effects of prescribed hormones, and the alternatives. The author, who took part in the first London trials for the contraceptive pill, has discovered through her research that the widespread use of extra hormones can disrupt the balance of the body's vital nutrients. These deficiencies are then passed on to our children during pregnancy, often resulting in congenital abnormalities and later to a whole range of problems, including dyslexia, hyperactivity, allergies, anorexia and bulimia. Dr Grant believes that prescribed hormones threaten to produce a long-term decline in health for the next generation, and sets out to show how recent medical discoveries and treatments can work in harmony with nature, and how we can safeguard our own health and that of our children.
