Description and Table of Contents
Description
This volume provides specialists with an update on the use of continuous renal replacement therapies in the management of patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). The information is vital as acute renal failure rarely occurs in isolation nowadays, but rather as part of MODS. One section of the book evaluates the different forms of continuous extracorporeal treatment from a technical point of view. Further sections deal with such important topics as the elmination of mediators of MODS and sepsis by continuous methods and the search for improved forms of anticoagulation.
