Description and Table of Contents
Description
This is a practical and concise introduction to exfoliative and aspiration cytopathology. The book details principles and practice in a text suitable for both beginning cytopathologists and those wanting a review of the field. The book opens with an introductory chapter on cell and tissue structure. The first third of the text discusses diagnosis of benign and malignant disorders of the female genital tract. Following chapters deal with cytopathology in diseases of the lungs, mouth, digestive system, urinary tract, prostate and breast; the salivary glands, lymph nodes and thyroid; the eye; soft tissues, bone and cartilage; the liver, pancreas and central nervous system; and miscellaneous specimens.
