Description and Table of Contents

Description

This text takes a mechanistic approach to organic chemistry. It emphasizes the commonalities of chemical reactors as a means of fostering comprehension rather than rote memorization of functional groups. The text balances coverage of traditional topics with biorganic chemistry as it recognises the growing importance of biorganic topics for today's students, especially those planning careers in the biological science, biochemistry and the health professions. This work is appropriate for full year sequence in organic chemistry taken primarily by science and pre-health majors.
