Description

"Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Early Intervention" is a practical guide for OT's who provide services to young children and their families. The first part of the book describes the general principles and guidelines of the early intervention process, and how they apply to occupational therapy. Current assessment methods, "best practic" models, interdisciplinary planning, and service delivery systems are explained. The second half deals with specific problems encountered by infants and their families, and provides strategies and solutions involving play therapy, feeding problems, sensory integration and assistive technology.
