Description
This work, with a combination of theory and practical application, discusses the variables that influence the maintenance and growth of interpersonal relationships. The fourth edition of this book contains a new cross-cultural communications unit identifying barriers to cross-cultural communication and provides practical suggestions for overcoming these barriers. A family communications unit discusses the family as a system, identifies the communication challenges among family members and offers suggestions for improvement. Information on non-verbal communication has been expanded to include additional information on gestures, eye contact, facial expressions and touching.
