Description and Table of Contents
Description
In recent years there have occurred remarkable increases in understanding of the scientific basis of many disorders, especially in biochemistry, immunology and genetics, as well as in investigative procedures such as ultrasound and other imaging techniques. Consequently, many paediatricians are preoccupied with these events and are not free to engage in the study of child development. Based on the author's previous work "Developmental Paediatrics: Perspectives and Practice", this book represents an updated and revised version. It aims to show how an understanding of child development contributes to clinical paediatric work, especially work involving handicapped children.
